How To Have A Great Home Visit
Ways to make the most of your in home visit with less stress.

How can you prepare for your home visit to be as smooth as possible?
Before the visit:
First, please complete the pre-appointment questionnaire as it will give us valuable information before we even arrive for your appointment. This will allow us to spend more time addressing questions during the appointment, and less time searching for items such as medications, food, and other products.
Second, we want to minimize stress and discomfort for your pet. If they tend to be anxious, or have shown signs of aggression with strangers or during previous veterinary visits, let us know so we can plan accordingly. If your pet typically receives sedation medication prior to veterinary visits, we may recommend this until a more established relationship has been formed.
Especially for cats that tend to hide or that can be difficult to catch, please secure them in a room prior to their appointment time. This will both save time and avoid a stressful chase around the house at exam time.
During the visit:
We will bring all the needed supplies for the appointment. If your pet has a particular treat they love or a toy that helps to focus or calm them, please have those items available.
Otherwise, all that’s needed is a quiet area for the exam with limited distractions.
And that’s it! If you have any other concerns or specific needs prior to your appointment, just let us know! We look forward to seeing you!
