Wellness and Preventative Care Services

Wellness Exams

The wellness exam involves both a full physical examination of your pet along with a discussion about their overall health, including lifestyle and behavior. Any concerns or goals regarding your pet will be reviewed during this time.

As needed, the visit may include vaccines; collection of blood, urine, or stool samples for lab testing; medication refills; monthly medications to protect against heartworms, ticks, and fleas.

What Don't We Do?

As an in-home mobile care practice, our services are limited in some areas. We are unable to accommodate:

Emergencies (seizures, heat stroke, trouble breathing, collapse, etc.)
Surgeries (spays, neuters, mass removals, etc.)
Dental Cleanings & Extractions
Exotics

Referrals can be provided if your pet is in need of any of the above.

If you believe your pet is having an emergency or are unsure if it’s an emergency, please call your nearest emergency clinic.

Urgent Care

When scheduling allows, we are able to handle urgent care cases for current clients. These are situations where the pet is not feeling well but is stable.

Examples of urgent care cases:

Urinary Tract Infections
Hot Spots
Mild Diarrhea
Irritated Eyes
Lameness

Comfort and End of Life Care

Advanced age or terminal illness may cause your pet’s quality of life to deteriorate. Deciding what is best can be difficult; there may be options to treat your pet to increase their comfort, or a planned peaceful euthanasia may be the kindest approach. We can help clarify your options as well as provide whatever care you decide. See more information here.

Working Canines

The health and wellbeing of working and service dogs is critical to their performance. We are happy to provide thorough care for these companions that go above and beyond. If you have an active or retired police, military, search and rescue, or service canine, please reach out for special pricing.

Please note that this applies only to specifically trained working dogs; this does not include pets with no formal training or emotional support animals.
